 When the smile on a baby's face

Is not reflected back by the mother

It feels hurt....so much!

The baby thinks...

if my mother doesn't return my smile

Who will?

If the hurt brings tears to the child's eyes,

And the mother doesn't understand...

The child thinks...

If my mother doesn't understand me ...

Who will?

When the tears start to flow ...

And the mother says ...tears are silly!

The child thinks ...I mustn't cry.....

Then my mother will love me ....
