Sometimes you forget
You have lips and smiles
You are sitting with your coffee
At sunrise, without seeing it;
Then a little flurry catches your ear
It's the baby dove near the bath,
It hops in and flurrys;
Its downy wings
Makes the water scatter;
Wide eyelids batter;
Big eyes looking all the while
At lips that wouldn't smile, smile!
