The death of a young girl has prompted me to write these lines;

Happy New Year?
It cannot be a happy new year,
Loss and grief is all you hear,
Every heart is greiving,
Every eye is crying,
How can it be a happy new year?
Put away the crackers
That we burst every year
All our hearts are broken
All our minds are shaken
No No It's not a happy new year
Has it ever been a happy new year?
Somewhere someone was grieving in their heart
Somewhere someone was crying in their eye
Has it ever been a happy new year?

I hope your story makes us wiser

From wilting away so soon
All the helplessness, All the angriness
Everything we feel, we dedicate to you

Every Indian now must face the test
